Delivery Formats
In
order to facilitate just-in-time delivery,
maximize impact, and serve your unique
needs, we offer our programs in several
formats. For more detail, just click on
the format that interests you:
WORKSHOP
DELIVERY:
- All
of our programs can be offered in a workshop
format, and all workshops can be customized
for your organisation's unique needs.
- The
"open architecture" and "action
learning approach" of our workshops
enables participants to link what they
are learning with your organisation's
unique vision, strategy, and culture.
- Our
workshops combine the presentation of
cutting edge ideas and extremely practical
tools with the development of new skills
and emotional intelligence. Workshops
combine theory and practice; presentation,
facilitation, and coaching; and combine
a variety of learning methods, processes,
and techniques.
- All
workshops clarify desired outcomes of
the workshop, and teach participants how
to measure the impact and value of what
they have learned.
TRAIN-THE-TRAINER
PROGRAMS:
- Most
of our workshops are offered in a train-the-trainer format. This
format enables your organisation to license or purchase an iLEAD
program, and have your own internal learning & development specialists
offer the program in-house.
- Our
train-the-trainer programs are comprehensive
and fully inclusive. Receive the entire
program up front-no future consulting,
fees, royalties, or products to purchase.
Invite up to six of your trainers to attend
the train-the-trainer program at no additional
cost.
- Our
train-the-trainer programs are typically
three days long. On the first day, the
participants experience the workshop as
learners. On the second and third days,
we cover the content in more depth, discuss
alternative teaching techniques, and review
how to measure the impact/success of the
program (accountability, follow-up, measurement).
- Train-the-trainer
programs will be customized for you on
the basis of the level of training experience
and the subject knowledge of your in-house
trainers.
CONSULTATION:
- Consultation
is recommended when you are seeking support
in overcoming a particular challenge or
capitalizing on a unique opportunity.
- The
best leaders, educators, and consultants
do not try to do your job for you; they
teach you how to do a better job on your
own. We will work with your team to produce
a solution that you are both willing and
able to implement. iLEAD
transfers its knowledge and expertise
to you in order to enhance your in-house
capability, thereby maximizing both results
and sustainability.
- Another
unique feature of our consultation method
is the identification of quick wins at
each stage of the consultation. This ensures
that each stage of the consultation pays
for itself above and beyond the achievement
of the project's overarching objectives
(the identification and implementation
of a sustainable solution to a major team
or organisational challenge or opportunity).
- We
kick off most consulting project with
a brief overview session to provide your
team with the main ideas, tools, and techniques
they will need to run the project on their
own. This overview enables you to "test
drive" the quality of the program
content and the consultant before committing
to a longer-term consultation arrangement.
- An
iLEAD consultant can participate on your project team as a team
leader, team member, facilitator, research assistant, or coach,
depending on your needs and preferences. We are also happy to assist
you with any combination of the major project components, from needs
assessment and developing your plan to implementation.
- Areas
of consultation include strategic planning,
mobilizing employee energy and commitment,
managing vision and purpose, leading a
major organisational change, building
customer relationships and loyalty, creating
your leadership development strategy,
managing your organisation's talent, and
so on. Any component of any of our programs
can be run in a consultation format, so
please see our program descriptions for
more details.
EXECUTIVE COACHING:
- All
programs can be offered in the form of
executive coaching. In the coaching format,
we offer the content of a particular program
(ideas, skills, tools, etc.) to a single
individual or small team with the objective
of building skills or enhancing performance
with sustainable solutions.
- The
coaching format combines workshop, facilitation,
coaching, and consultation, according
to the need and preferences of the individual(s)
we are working with.
- The
coaching format is typically used to help
a supervisor or manager correct a weakness
or build a strength. We can also help
a manager with a team or organisational
challenge with the confidentiality of
private coaching sessions in contrast
to a very public workshop or team-based
consultation.
ON-LINE / DISTANCE
LEARNING:
- Most
workshops can be offered in a distance-learning
format.
- Our
distance-learning programs typically involve
weekly or bi-weekly assignments sent out
by e-mail. We then consolidate the data
(the "homework answers") and
present it back to the participants so
they can benchmark their answers and progress
against their peers, compare best practices,
learn from each other, and so on. This
process also enables us to look for patterns
in the data that will be of interest to
your HRD/OD team, e.g., are there major
differences in the answers between men
and women, between supervisors and managers,
between newer and more tenured managers,
or between functions (e.g., between sales,
operations, and finance).
- There
are enormous advantages of this format,
e.g., learning can happen at a more natural
pace; lessons can be reinforced over time;
new ideas and skills can be more effectively
tested and incorporated into real projects
in real time; specific lessons can be
built around real life projects; and learning
becomes less of a one-off event and more
of an ongoing process, building the habit
of continuous development and improvement.
- Recommendation:
try a program in a workshop format first,
and then consider a distance learning
approach to reach a large number of geographically
diverse participants.
